Stockmounth

Length: 12 km ; Ascent: 150m

Walk starts at Mosside 699917. Easy walk following the old Stockmounth track from Strachan to Drumtochty. We pass over Blairourie and Glenskinnan Hills and bypass Kerloch. The path continues by the Hill of Roughbank and Leachie hill to the finish point at West Bogton 736832. Lots of trees but good views over Deeside and the Mearns.

Walkers must wear walking boots, carry warm and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves and take plenty food and liquids. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL. Be prepared for possible wintry conditions whatever the forecast. Gaiters recommended for this walk, as it can be boggy.
