The Cateran trail explores the glens and surrounding hills, following in the footsteps of the Caterans along these ancient drove roads.. Start from Bridge of Cally Grid Ref 141513 and walk to Kirkmichael - 8 miles. The path is undulating with the highest point is around 270m dropping to around 200m at Kirkmichael Grid Ref 082600

Walkers must wear walking boots, warm and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves and take plenty food and liquids. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL. Be prepared for winter conditions snow and ice. Path is wet in areas and the stiles are high so it will be difficult for dogs and not advisable to take them.
