Cairn Toul

OS map 43 walking time about 11 hours

This is a long very strenuous walk in, so understandably if anyone wishes to cycle in please let the rest of us know and arrange a meeting point and time as our return route may differ! We will leave from Linn O Dee car park and head up Glen Lui and then Glen Luibeg.At Luibeg Bridge we cross over and walk past the foot of Cairn a Mhaim and follow the Lairig Ghru route to Corour Bothy. From here we climb the steep track from the Corrie and from then to Cairn Toul 15.5 km to this point. We can return either same way or by Glen Dee.

Walkers must wear walking boots, carry WARM and waterproof clothing, hat and gloves and take plenty food and liquids. THESE ARE ESSENTIAL. Be prepared for all weathers. If the weather is hot take plenty fluids with you.

Transport by car sharing. Fee realistic amount to driver given the rise in fuel costs
